    MISSION

    • To increase agricultural production qualitatively by adopting improved seeds and latest agricultural techniques.
    • To supply the required quantity of inputs before sowing of Kharif, Rabi and Zaid crops at Nyaya-Panchayat level Krishi Nivesh Kendra, so that quality agricultural inputs such as seeds, pesticides, micronutrients, bio-fertilizers etc. are made available to the farmers at their nearest centres on time.
    • To encourage the use of balanced nutrients as recommended in the Soil Health Card.
    • To widely publicize the welfare schemes for farmers, latest agricultural practices and techniques to farmers and farmer fields through demonstrations, training, seminars and study tours.
    • To encourage cluster based agriculture to get higher production from small and marginal holdings.To increase the income of farmers by including agricultural diversification, value addition and income-oriented programmes in central and state-funded schemes.
    • To increase the area of ​​organic farming. Under the Traditional Agriculture Development Scheme, PGS certification of nutritious grains and special crops of the state.
    • To promote millet crops under State Millet Mission Programme.
    • Conservation of local crops, distribution of verified seeds and providing geographical identification.

    • Ensuring the timely use of funds by properly implementing central and state funded schemes. Accelerating agricultural development by establishing coordination with line departments, universities, agricultural science centers, research institutes and other institutions related to agriculture.
    • To connect as many eligible beneficiaries as possible with the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana. To provide Kisan Credit Card to all the beneficiaries of Kisan Samman Nidhi so that they can easily get loans for farming at subsidized interest.
    • Establishment of Farm Machinery Bank in hilly areas and Custom Hiring Centre in plain areas to make available agricultural machinery at low cost as per local requirement to small, marginal, women farmers and remote areas.
    • To provide quality agricultural inputs to farmers, conducting standard testing of samples of fertilizers, chemicals and seeds in laboratories from time to time under Fertilizer Quality Control Order-1957, Insecticides Act-1968 and Seeds Act-1966.
